Job Description:

The Director of (Elementary) Children's Ministry will direct the efforts in maintaining a safe, secure, loving environment where children(K-4th Grade) can be led into a maturing relationship with Christ. They must cast vision, build and equip teams, recruit and inspire excellence in all areas of ministry.

AREAS OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

1)Identify the needs of all children, K – 4th grade, within the church family and larger community to which the church ministers.

2)Ensure the Children’s Ministry is giving Biblical instruction in agreement with the mission, philosophy and Statement of Faith of Stones Crossing Church.

3)Plan specific ministry activities and programs designed to meet approved objectives.

4)Determine, in consultation with the Children’s Ministry Team, Biblically based curriculum for use in preschool and elementary ministries. Implement and distribute approved curriculum to volunteers in a timely basis.

5)Assure provision of needed teaching resource materials for elementary ministries.

6)Assess the effectiveness of ministry activities and programs and make revisions as needed.

7)Recruit and manage the director and leadership team for our summer camp program, Camp Kynigo, for elementary students.

8)Recruit and manage the director and leadership team for our summer outreach programs.

9)Plan and conduct outreach and mission related special projects with preschool through 4th grade.

10)Supervise the work and overall direction of all Children’s Ministry programs.

11)Advise in the use of program materials, equipment, supplies, and facilities for any other programs related to children.

12) Collaborate with Pastor of Student Ministries to insure alignment, communication and mission effectiveness with the family ministries department(56 Ministry and Motion Student ministries).
