Description:
Chapin United Methodist Church, a 1500 member church located in Chapin, South Carolina, with strong ties and commitment to the community, seeks a Church Business Administrator. Chapin UMC is in a growth mode with facility expansion and active programs. See our website at ChapinUMC.com for overview of our programs and ministries.

The position will implement the ministry vision of the Senior Pastor and administrative board of the church, manage operations of the church, and will report to the Senior Pastor. Participation in designated committee meetings will be required. Responsible for personnel administration, office systems, and physical facilities. Will share responsibility for strategic planning with Senior Pastor and other church leaders.

Candidate must have a strong and apparent commitment to Jesus Christ and His Church. Must have familiarity with Christian organizations and experience managing business operations including planning, facilities, financial, and human resources. A generalist rather than a specialist to serve as a bridge between operations and ministry, clergy and church members, systems and people. Requires analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent organizational skills. Supervisory, delegation and leadership skills, supported in both oral and written communications, are required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products, including Excel is necessary.
